Senior Lecturer of the University, Sunil Ariyaratne stated that the decision to re-open the university will  be taken after holding discussions with the university students tomorrow.

Representatives of the university’s administration had held discussions with the Minister of Higher Education, S.B. Dissanayake in this regard yesterday.

The Sri Jayawardenapura University was temporarily closed for a few days recently, due to the Sathyagraha campaign by the students and the clashes between the students and the security forces.
